Dean Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS) Meets Criminology & Social Work Students

The Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Dr. Edwin Masibo on 3rd March 2022 held a meeting with Criminology and Social Work students in AUD. A.The meeting which was organized by the Office of the Dean was part of his plan of sensitizing the students on his expectations and goals of the Faculty. The Dean took this occasion to impress upon the students to among other things,

  1. Focus on their studies as this was their main objective in the institution.
  2. Work towards setting strong foundations in research and study ethics.
  3. Build a strong character as learners which will give them a positive edge in the work market.
  4. Be positive ambassadors of the Faculty through their hard work.

 

Dr. Masibo took this opportunity to assure the students that the University has ensured that they get quality services in their respective programmes by employing competent and qualified staff with distinguished careers in their respective areas of expertise.

He further in his address made an assurance that his office is open to handle any concerns from the students so as to facilitate a smooth learning process adding that he is in constant touch with other relevant University departments to ensure that any issue touching on students in the faculty is adequately addressed.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Edwin Masibo – Dean Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS), Dr. Mark Leting – COD, Social Work & Criminology Department and Lecturer Social Work,Mr. Nobert Wanyonyi – Faculty Exams & Timetable Coordinator and Lecturer Social Work,Mr. Zebedee Otte – Lecturer Criminology and Mr. Inyani K. Martin – Lecturer Criminology and Faculty Web Champion.
