Dean Faculty Of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS) Meets 3rd And 4th Year Criminology & Social Work Students

The Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Dr. Edwin Masibo on 16th March 2022 held a meeting with Criminology and Social Work students in AUD.A who are in their 3rd and 4th years of study. The meeting which is part of the Dean’s initiative of having a consultative forum saw him having an opportunity to reach out to students to embrace each other and work towards achieving a common goal.

The Dean expressed his joy at the progress made by the department in producing quality students and graduates. He also implored on the students to embrace the following key five attributes which will help them be holistic students.

  1. Integrity.
  2. Honesty.
  3. Responsibility.
  4. Tolerance.
  5. Timely

In his presentation Dr. Masibo reminded the students that these key attributes will be a strong foundation for them to work hard in their studies, attend classes, keep time when given assignments, engage in honest scholarly work by researching, maintaining a cordial relationship with their colleagues and lecturers and grow into responsible graduates.

He further made an assurance that his office is open to handle any concerns from the students to ensure a smooth and comfortable learning environment.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Edwin Masibo – Dean Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS), Dr. Mark Leting – COD, Social Work & Criminology Department and Lecturer Social Work, Mr. Patrick Mengo – Criminology Forensic Lab Technologist, Mr. Zebedee Otte – Lecturer Criminology and Mr. Inyani K. Martin – Lecturer Criminology and Faculty Web Champion.
